Usually divided into two different classes. 

Upper Class:

• Well paid job
• Powerful/ the boss
• Snobbish - look down on people
• Think money can buy everything
• Well dressed - conservative clothing
• Rely on friends when partner is away
• Jewelry, gold, pearls
• Use standard English

Working Class:

• Work for person/ company
• Less formal clothing
• Terraced housing
• Large family - lots of children
• Follow orders
• Use slang/ not proper English
